Charts about Wealth Distribution

Charts are always a superior way of delivering key information and hopefully to elicit and emotional response.  If you can get your audience to understand the data on an emotional level, you are much more likely to get them to act.

Here are a dozen interesting charts on wealth distribution in the US.

Alot of these charts show the same information, but in different and creative ways.  Some will hit the mark and some won’t.  Personally, I like #6 the best.

  1. Hmm, chart number 2 says “Growth is back”, however in almost all countries GDP is growing at rates less then 0. That means the GP is shrinking. Although the rat of shrinking slows and the shrinking seems to be coming to an end, growth (in my book) has a positive rate of GDP year over year.

    I conclude even with good charts the message can be quite misleading 😉
