Dizzy

Michael Beckner sent this image to someone else. But I know him, so I am stealing it for entertainment purposes. Look at it. It is NOT moving. Try holding your breath and see if it stops. How do people figure out how to do this?

very cool. Although it’s not about holding your breath, it’s about keeping you eyes from moving (either in their sockets or general movements of your head. The closer you are to the screen the harder it is since you can’t see the whole picture without moving your eyes. Nevertheless, it is a nice image.

No opthalmologist, I would venture that it has something to do with the fovea — that thingie in your eye that’s required to see detail. Everything outside of its range just gets…funky. So look at it and you’ll notice that the few “seeds” you focus on don’t wiggle but everything else does!

And you may steal from me.
