Higher, Faster, Stronger

The Olympic motto is Higher, Faster, Stronger. This to me seems pretty straight-forward. Who can run the fastest, swim the fastest, jump the highest, lift the most, etc etc. So why are there all kinds of athletics that are based on aesthetic judgment. Like synchronized swimming, gymnastics, figure skating, platform diving and freestyle skiing. These are not sports where someone “wins” in the same way someone wins a race. Empirical evidence is critical to the Olympic spirit. Someone has the be Higher, Faster or Stronger. I think all of these non-empirical sports should be removed from the games.

Did everyone hear about the controversy with Hamm? They are Actually considering TWO gold medals! What is that? This is just silly.

Booooooooooooooooo!
