Marketo launched it’s Lead Management 3.0 product this weekend. It has been a long time coming (- been working on it for 4 months). The scope was pretty big. We refactored the entire UI from top to bottom. We improved usability in countless ways. The graphic design is polished and consistent. We added a bunch of new features. It’s amazing how much you can do when you have a motivated team and a good architecture.
Check out the demos online. It covers the UI pretty nicely although I wish the narrator had an Australian accent. Demos are always better in an Australian dialect. This brings up a good point. Go to any of the competitive products for Marketo and try to see a demo. No one will show you their application. No pictures, no slideshows, no video. Nada. Why are people so secretive? I know why, but I hate it.
I feel particularly proud about being in an “open” company. I love being part of something that doesn’t hide behind a curtain.
Feedback has been good so far, but in the SaaS world it is “What have you done for me lately?” So it’s off to the next big hill. We have some cool features planned and continue to get bigger. (150 customers and rising every day)
