Empty States

I think empty (null result) and error state pages are a great way to add life and personality into your application. The lion’s share of the illustrating work here is from Alexis Jianghezi Zheng. I provided the high level direction and suggested the metaphors, but she did the work. We also used a Fivrr illustrator in the Ukraine for some additional details. She was great too!

They are simple, yet adorable. We called the little guy Crys. (Short for Crystal – the name of the design system.) I love how they came out.
