One of the biggest problems in AI is training. Where can you get source material for the AI to train that doesn’t break copyright laws? Google certainly has a ton of data, but I think there could a way to change the game.
The hardware
You need a pin that can be worn by the user. It would mainly be an audio recorder but could also be a video at some point. You could tap it to mute it at any point. It should light up green to show it’s recording.
The recorder would save a transcript of your words in text and transmit it to your phone and then stream up to the cloud. The AI would train based on all the conversations the person has. It could even learn who is speaking through an app on the phone or AI detection.
How to distribute
You offer a free license of your chatbot/agents to anyone who records more than 2 hours of data per day. If you don’t record for a few days, your license expires. Potentially it could also have a translation service that connects to your ear buds.
I believe people would gladly give away their privacy in exchange for the service. Look at GMail. It’s not free! It feels free, but we are giving Google our data and our words every day. People have been proven to give away their lives, privacy, and even freedom in exchange for convenience and service.
Freedom is not taken; freedom is given away voluntarily.
Maybe this is a cynical view, but history shows that I am right. People would record their entire lives. Some people would leave it on 24/7.
The more important thing is that it would give a massive boost of data to train AI on.
The money
I think the winner in AI will be the system that is the smartest and the most human. This is entirely based on training. I believe that the user interface of the future is agentic at the extreme. I mean that one app could be a layer in between you and every single other piece of software.
You would subscribe to this service and it would read/reply to emails for you. Same for texting and social media. It would buy the best items you want on Amazon. It would negotiate the price for a new car or home. It would be your lawyer when you are arrested. It would write love letters to your significant other. It would wish happy birthday to your mom.
One agent connects everywhere. That one agent would need to know you quite well. The best way to do that is to train the AI on your whole life. Thus the pin.
The flaw
Once AI can do every job in the world, no one would make any money to pay for this. So AI would need to provide this to us for free in exchange for the training data. Maybe the founder of this new company should be AI itself.
Interesting times.
