Where is your nose? Where is your ear? Where is your brain? Big hug? Kiss? Say Thank You. Matthew responds correctly to every one of these tests. He is a good boy. Yesterday, we took the training wheels off Jared’s bike. He rode very well. He doesn’t exactly knowhow to…
When people are having a conversation really close to you, is it rude to eavesdrop? I mean if they are not being quiet and you were sitting there minding your own business, what are you supposed to do? I am sitting in this situation right now. Should I put on…
Ok, if this doesn’t make you laugh, something is wrong with you. First watch Tom Cruise on Oprah. I didn’t laugh at this, I was in disbelief. Then watch Tom Kill Oprah. I laughed. It’s funny, come on! Then watch a guy making fun of Tom Cruise for jumping on…
Finally the cracks in the Republican dam are showing. Delay is being indicted. Additionally, Karl Rove and Scooter Libby are on the hot seat and may be indicted as well. This just goes to show, Republicans are evil. I heard George Clooney on NPR. He is very well spoken and…
Using the latest build. All of the sudden, blam! BSOD! The machine reboots and gives it again. I can’t log in at all. Safe mode works, so I tried different video drivers, no love. I tried this and that and still no love. It is starting to wear on my…
You can never pick two of them. You can only have one. The most important thing in the world. It can not be three things. The most important thing. Not the top ten. In the end, there can only be one. The most important thing in the world is ……
I spent the last two days trying to get my video drivers working for Windows Vista. I have a nVidia Quadro FX 540. I found 6 different versions of drivers. Only one worked. It was the one that came with the “additional drivers” on the windows install ISO ( LDDM…
I installed Beta 2 (build 5231, 32-bit) this morning. It wasn’t finished by the time I left for work. So far, I am unenthusiastic about the new UI. I am using a 2.8 ghtz Pentium D, with 4G of ram, and everything runs slow. The worst part of the UI…
The new Apple iPod has video. This reminds me of a conversation I had in 1997 with the EVP of Sales for Columbia Tri-Star Television Distribution. He asked me how the internet would affect television. I told him, “Watch the music industry. They are going to deal with Music on…
Today I suggested to Ethan that we start a new chart. We would use a calendar to mark down the values. Each day, in the morning we would say, “How is today going to be? (Scale 1-10, 10 being the best)”. Then, in the evening, I would ask, “How was…
Auto supply giant Delphi files for Chapter 11. General Motors may get dragged into bankruptcy over it. MCI and Verizon are merging. SBC and At&T are merging. They even have a special website for it. This doesn’t fill me with confidence that phone services are going to improve. I hate…
Recently alot of movement has been seen on the User Experience side of the web. http://www.zimbra.com/ has a new Email client on the web using Ajax. It’s features and usability improvements over Outlook are impressive. Lazlo Mail is a flash Email client that is debuting on Earthlink. News.com has a…
This weekend, Ethan, Jared and I had a bachelors fiesta. We saw a movie (Wallace and Grommit, not bad, very clever), we went to mini golf, boat bumper cars, batting cage, tennis, walks to Lunch, milk shakes, toy stores. We had a grand old time. However, the fun and excitement…
Happy Birthday to Ethan. He is six today. Ethan is so friendly, he says Hi to everyone. I love him so much. His smile lights up my soul. When he hugs me, I feel it to my bones. I remember when we was so little. His first steps. His first…
